Certifications/Qualifications: I have always been a fitness and dance enthusiast since childhood. In my schooling years, I went for athletics classes, participated in sporting events such as Throwball, Track & Field etc. To this day, a good run at a park refreshes me. Yoga too has become an integral part of my life. However, Dance is my true passion. I started out my journey with Bharatnatyam. I have completed 4 years of training in the same. Throughout my school and college years, I have been on various dance teams and participated in competitions and festivals too. In 2018, I had spent a month in NYC and attended dance classes at the Broadway Dance Centre. But the one institute that I owe most of my knowledge of western classical dance to, along with reigniting the love for Bollywood dance is Shiamak Davar International. It’s been over a decade since I’ve been attending classes at this institute and continue to learn various dance styles such as Ballet, Jazz and Contemporary through Shiamak Davar’s ATB course. Loving both aspects i.e. fitness and dance, I completed the Bombay Jam Online Instructor certification in 2018.

Teaching Experience: Prior to Bombay Jam entering my life, I used to take fitness classes for middle-aged women in Mumbai and in trying to discover more exciting workout routines, I discovered Bombay Jam! Now I’m truly excited to re-start my fitness career as a Bombay Jam instructor!

About: I believe that keeping your mind and body ‘fit and happy’ are of utmost importance! For me, a day isn’t complete without giving myself that time to workout… and what better workout than one that involves dance?! When I was on the lookout for fun cardio workouts, I stumbled upon Bombay Jam on YouTube and as they say, the rest is history! I personally love the Bombay Jam workouts because the choreography gets increasingly challenging but the energetic mixes keep you going and help you burn those calories! Doing the mundane jumping jacks, squats with a dancy twist makes it so appealing! As an instructor, it feels great to bring joy and fitness to people at one go! I strongly feel that when you love to do something, that energy touches others too and the joy you feel, they feel vicariously too! I am sure that whoever attends my class, will leave feeling as grateful and invigorated as I do after an hour long Jam session! 😉
